Christiane grew up in a small town just outside Copenhagen. Her grandmother, an artist herself, introduced her to the world of colors, textures, and composition. From an early age, Christiane learned the craft of painting by her grandmother’s side — exploring brushwork, styles, and the expressive power of form. Deeply inspired by her grandmother’s bold use of color and cubistic approach, Christiane has continued painting ever since.
In 2018, Christiane moved to London, where she devoted herself to drawing — a passion sparked by her fascination with Picasso and Matisse. During her time in London, she became an active member of the London Drawing Group, further refining her artistic voice.
In 2023, Christiane spent three months in Rome, dedicating all her time to painting. The city’s rich architectural heritage became a major source of inspiration — particularly the ancient shapes and structures that found their way into her cubistic compositions.
After Rome, she spent a few months in Madrid, where the warmth and radiance of the Spanish light, architecture, and traditions influenced her palette. The glowing color combinations in her paintings from this period clearly reflect that inspiration.
Represented by Monat Gallery in Madrid, Christiane participated in the group exhibition “Eclisse” during the winter of 2024.
In April 2025, she exhibited two of her pieces at the New York Art Fair 2025, and in November 2026 she will be showing her work at the Art World Fair Paris 2026.
Today, Christiane lives and works in Copenhagen, where she has her studio at Værnedamsvej 18. Visitors are always welcome to stop by and experience her work in person.
